2000 Toyota Tundra 4x4 Wont Engage

When I push the button to engage 4 wheel drive all I get is a flashing light.

2000 toyota tundra 4x4 wont engage. I have a 2000 Toyota Tundra. Any tips ideas suggestions would be greatly appreaciated. Just got hit with a snowstorm and wasnt able to engage the 4wd.

Thats actually a common problem which will cause it to not fully engage and the light to blink. I have a 2000 Toyota tundra 4x4 and when I put it in 4wd the 4 high light just flashes u can hear it trying to engage but doesnt replaced the. But its not blinking at all or lighting up now.

2 Put in Neutral. When I push the 4HI button I can hear a clunk sound coming from the front end but the light just flashes and the 4x4 does not engage. Maybe get it on a slight hill and coast slowly in neutral with the wheels straight if it is flashing it is either trying to engage or dis-engage.

In a similar vein as the 4Runner we repaired recently that had a failed transfer case actuator CARspec was tasked with a Toyota Tundra that wouldnt complete the engagement of 4WD from 2WD the select button would only blink.
